On February 27, 2007 at the Department for International Economic and Political Studies IE RAS the session of the Academic Board "International Economic and Political Studies" has been held. Dr. (Econ.), prof. Leonid Borisovich Vardomsky, head of the Centre for Comparative Studies of Transformation Processes, made a report on the subject "The Russian Border Region Under Globalization Conditions".
On February 15, 2007 at the Institute of Economy RAS the session of the permanent scientific seminar "Theoretical Economy" was held. Alexander M. Libman, Ph.D (Econ.), senior researcher of the Centre for Problems of Globalization and Integration DIEPS IE RAS, made a statement on the subject "Economic Theory and Social Sciences on Economy: Some Trends of Development".
On January 30, 2007 at the DIEPS IE RAS, Academic Board will hold its session on the subject "International Economic and Political Studies". Anatoly Nicholaevich Barkovsky, Dr. (Econ.), prof., head of the Centre for Foreign Economic Studies made a statement on the subject "Russia Under the Conditions of Globalization and Regionalization of Contemporary World (2007-2015)".
On January 25, 2007 the DIEPS IE RAS held a round table dedicated to 15 years of the CIS formation on the subject
"To Which Alliances Will a Civilized Divorce Lead".
