The Centre for Problems of Integration of the Institute of Economy RAS has issued the fourth issue of the
Analytical Bulletin
. The fourth issue is a subject issue, dedicated to the region of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and the relationship of its countries with the European Union (EU).
On May 23, 2006 at the meeting of the Joint Academic Council of the Centre of Research in Labor Market and Social Problems and the Centre for Political and Economic Studies of the IE RAS the research report
"Reproduction of Human Potential in Present-Day Russia: mechanisms, tendencies, problems"
was discussed.
On May 23, 2006 at the Centre for Economic Transformation Theory of the IE RAS the theoretic seminar meeting on the subject
"Supporting Sectors of Russia’s Economy and Perspective Development Models"
was held. Presenter – Dr. (Econ.) Sergey Vsevolodovich Kolchin
On May 18, 2006 in the conference hall of the Academic Council of the Institute of Economy RAS the director of the Institute for Sociology of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences Tamasz Pall made a statement on the subject
"New Dependencies: the CIS Elites and the Western Perspective".
Sixth thematic seminar on innovation policy
"Regional Innovation Development EU and Russian Experience"
took place on April 27, 2006 (EuropeAid Project).
Publishing House "Nauka" issued a book "Industrial Policy in Terms of Transition to Innovation Economy: Experience of CIS and Central and East European Countries". Authors - G.А. Vlaskin, Ph. D. (Econ.), the leading research officer of the Centre for Industrial Policy, Institute of Economy RAS, and E.B. Lenchuk, Ph.D. (Econ.), the leading research officer of the Centre for Industrial Policy, Institute of Economy RAS.
On April 18-20, 2006 the Institute of Economy RAS, Centre for Problems of Integration under financial support of the Charity Reserve Foundation held the 9th Round Table on the subject
"Russian-Belorussian Relations at the Current Stage".
On April 13, 2006 the Director of the RAS Institute of Economy, Dr. (Econ.), Professor Ruslan S. Grinberg submitted a collective report
"Humanitarian and Economic Aspects of CIS Interaction – Migration, Education, Human Rights"
at the joint meeting of the RF Public Chamber’s Committee for International Cooperation and Public Diplomacy, the Voluntary Economic Society and the "Politics" Fund (POLITIKA Foundation).
The third issue of the
Analytical Bulletin
is now available. The issue pays special attention to the interaction of Russian corporations and multinationals in the CIS, influence of the WTO accession of Russia and Belarus on the perspectives of the Union State, comparative analysis of popular assessment of integration in the EU and in the post-Soviet region, experience of financial amnesty in Kazakhstan and Georgia for Russia.
A book "Wordless Knowledge. Economist’s Recollections" by Ruben Nikolayevich Yevstigneyeev, Head of the Centre for Comparative Economic Studies, RAS Institute of Economy, Dr. Econ., Professor, the RF honored worker of science has been issued by the Publishing House "Voprosy Ekonomiki".
